QQI hosted its third annual Quality Enhancement Showcase

08–12–2025

QQI hosted its third annual Quality Enhancement Showcase on 4 December 2025 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre.

The event brought together colleagues from public and private higher education institutions to reflect on emerging themes and share innovative practice through a diverse range of case studies. Topics included advances in teaching and assessment, digital transformation, student engagement, and quality enhancement practices. A special word of thanks to all the case studies presenters.

Welcoming attendees, the CEO highlighted that “the AQRs […] encourage sectoral learning […] and underpin our collective commitment to continuous improvement”.

A key focus this year was the role of Generative AI in quality assurance. Rachel Koblic, former Chief Learning Officer at Matter and Space and co-author of EDUCAUSE’s AI in Higher Education series, delivered the keynote, exploring how AI is shaping personalised, future-ready learning experiences. QQI also shared insights from pilot projects using GenAI for thematic analysis.

We were delighted to welcome international colleagues from NCQAA in Qatar, who outlined their journey as the region’s youngest QA agency, including the design and revision of accreditation standards and the role of student involvement across public and private HEIs.

Thank you to all participants for contributing to an engaging and forward-looking discussion on quality enhancement in higher education.
