Joint European Degree Label
The Joint European Degree Label (JEDL) is an additional European recognition for eligible joint programmes that meet agreed European criteria. It is not a qualification, academic award or programme accreditation, and it does not replace existing quality assurance, accreditation or recognition requirements.
QQI is piloting procedures for assessing eligible joint programmes and awarding the Label in Ireland. The pilot builds on existing quality assurance arrangements for joint programmes under QQI Procedures for the Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes based on the European Approach and will inform future implementation of the Label.

The European Commission’s Operational Guide sets out the criteria, indicators and evidence requirements for the Joint European Degree Label and should be read alongside QQI's pilot procedures.
