Report published on public consultation on draft broad award standards

The broad award standards in FET are a development which will allow more flexibility and innovation in the design of programmes. The broad award standards outline a broader set of competences relevant to life and society in general and will allow providers to respond more readily to meet the personal, social and economic needs of learners.

We are delighted to publish a summary of QQI’s Public Consultation on a suite of draft broad award standards at NFQ Levels 1-4.

Next steps:

Following QQI's internal governance, QQI will commence publishing the broad award standards at NFQ levels 1-4 in the last quarter of 2023. The broad award standards will become available from 2024.
