Class Rep Census Project

The Class Rep Census Project has been carried out for the second year in a row. Its aim is to ask students directly to share more information about themselves and any issues or conditions that may affect their learning or learning activities. The Census also provides NStEP with a snapshot of the diversity of student representation in Irish Higher Education.

Student Trainer Call 2024

NStEP are seeking enthusiastic, approachable and innovative students to join the NStEP team to deliver training across the country in academic year 2024/25. Student trainers play a vital role in NStEP’s work to foster a culture of partnership between staff and students and advance meaningful and authentic student engagement in Irish higher education.

The work is flexible and compatible with study and other commitments. This is a great opportunity for students to develop public speaking, facilitation, and organisational skills.

Institutional Review Student Briefings

NStEP has carried out 3 Institutional Review Student Briefing sessions this academic year, with RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Munster Technological University and Technological University of the Shannon, ahead of their respective institutional reviews.

These 90 minute briefings sessions are tailored specifically for students taking part in feedback sessions with the review panels. The sessions are designed to introduce students to the importance of the inclusion of the student voice in the quality assurance process, demystify and prepare them to meet the review panel, and to maximise the effectiveness of their feedback to the panel.

Please contact NStEP’s Development Coordinator at nstepdevelopment@usi.ie with any queries regarding student training or institutional review briefings.
