Announcement: Dr Bryan Maguire appointed to ENQA board 

We are delighted to announce that Dr Bryan Maguire, Director of Integration at Quality and Qualifications Ireland, has been elected to the Board of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) for a term of three years, following the ENQA General Assembly held in Brussels in October 2025. 

Bryan brings a wealth of expertise to this role, grounded in a distinguished career spanning three countries in higher education teaching, institutional leadership, and quality assurance. He is internationally recognised for his work on qualifications frameworks and has consulted and spoken in over 20 countries. 

ENQA plays a pivotal role in advancing quality in European higher education. As the designated stakeholder organisation for quality assurance agencies in the European Higher Education Area, ENQA supports its members through policy representation, professional development, and collaborative projects. It also contributes to shaping the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance, and works closely with partners such as the European University Association, EURASHE, and the European Students’ Union.  

Bryan’s appointment reflects his deep commitment to enhancing quality assurance practices and his leadership in fostering innovation across the sector. We congratulate him on this significant achievement and look forward to his contributions to ENQA’s strategic direction and mission.
