European Degree Label (EDL) Technical Workshop

Explore the practical, policy and quality assurance dimensions of the EDL as it moves towards implementation across Europe

Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) are inviting colleagues from across higher education to a technical workshop being conducted by the European Commission on the European Degree Label (EDL).

This workshop will provide an opportunity to explore the practical, policy and quality assurance dimensions of the EDL as it moves towards implementation across Europe. The European Degree Label is part of wider EU work to support joint programmes, mutual recognition and stronger transnational cooperation in higher education.

The session will focus on the technical issues that institutions and quality assurance agencies need to consider, including the emerging criteria for the label, implementation challenges, and implications for joint programme design, quality assurance and recognition. It will also provide space for discussion, shared learning and exchange of experience among participants.

The workshop will take place at Carnegie Library in Dún Laoghaire, part of the Carnegie Hub @ IADT.
