EU Reference Group - 2026 Meeting

The Irish EU Reference Group of Agencies under the aegis of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS), known as the EU Reference Group, meets annually to update on a variety of projects.

This year, the Reference Group, will meet on 14 April 2026 in the Alex Hotel, Dublin 2 with a special focus on the EU Presidency and the Union of Skills. There will be a high level introduction to planning for the Presidency presented by DFHERIS which will be supported by a workshop to explore opportunities across the tertiary education sector.

Each of the relevant organisations will then provide an overview of how their work contributes to the Union of Skills, a flagship initiative of the European Commission.
