QQI certification data
Explore our certification data
Welcome to QQI’s interactive dashboards, where you can easily explore dynamic visuals of our certification data.
Certification confirms that a learner has met the required knowledge, skills, and competence for a QQI award. These dashboards provide insights into certification trends since 2015, on the types of providers offering programmes leading to QQI awards, and on the individuals who have achieved QQI awards (referred as ‘learner’).
Data Revision Notice: Please note that some data relating to awards made to apprentices have been revised following the identification of an award code that had been linked in error with apprenticeship. The corrections were made to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information reported. The revisions affect a single award, with fewer than 30 awards made in any given year. As a result, some figures may differ from those published previously. Users should refer to the latest version of the data when making comparisons or conducting analyses.
What’s new in 2025?
- Updated Reporting: All Further Education and Training (FET) minor awards within the Common Awards System (CAS) are now included in our statistics, even if achieved alongside a major award (previously these were excluded from certification reports if they were achieved within the same certification period as a major award).
- Data Updates: dashboards are refreshed twice a year (August and February), with minor revisions possible to ensure accuracy.
All figures are rounded to the nearest 5 to protect learner anonymity.
