Providers

QQI engages with many public and private further education and training (FET), and higher education (HE) providers in Ireland. We also engage with the community and voluntary education sector, and providers of English language education to those learners for whom English is not their first language.

We work with stakeholders as a qualifications authority, as the National Reference Point for ENIC-NARIC and as an external quality assurance agency.

Integrity and Confidence

Our work with providers is focused on ensuring the integrity of qualifications and confidence in the Irish FET and HE systems. Besides promoting quality improvement and enhancement with all our providers, their staff members and their learners, we also engage on a range of regulatory and other services.  

Improvement and Enhancement

Alongside this, we regularly engage with learner and provider representative bodies involved in FET and HE to discuss quality improvement and enhancement initiatives, such as: 

• Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) 

• Higher Education Colleges Association (HECA)

• Irish Universities Association (IUA)

• Technological Higher Education Association (THEA)

• Marketing English in Ireland (MEI) 

• Union of Students in Ireland (USI)
