National Academic Integrity Week 2023

National Academic Integrity Week: Monday 16 October – Friday 20 October

The theme of National Academic Integrity Week 2023 is Academic Integrity:The Learner Perspective. There will be a series of four sessions across the week, along with multiple session run on Wednesday 18 October for International Day of Action for Academic Integrity.

Billy Kelly, National Academic Integrity Network (NAIN) Chair, will open National Academic Integrity Week on Monday 16 October and introduce the opening Student Panel - Academic Integrity: the Learner Perspective. The programme continues through the week, covering the following:

  • Tuesday 17 October - UK universities’ policy responses to Artificial Intelligence (AI) related academic misconduct in undergraduate studies, presented by Stephanus Lim, Imperial College London
  • Wednesday 18 October - International Day of Action for Academic Integrity
  • Thursday 19 October - Academic integrity is for everyone: strategies to include all students and staff in promoting and supporting academic integrity, presented by Dr Mary Davis, Oxford Brookes University
  • Friday 20 October - What more could HEIs do to help students avoid engaging in academic misconduct? Presented by Billy Kelly, NAIN Chair
