UK Awards Provided in Ireland
Many qualifications awarded by UK education and training bodies following study in Ireland are recognised through the NFQ(National Framework of Qualifications).
All of the UK qualifications that have been aligned with the National Framework of Qualifications are:
Included in the National Qualification Frameworks of England, Wales and Northern Ireland or the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework of Scotland
Delivered in Ireland to the same specification as in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland
Subject to external Quality Assurance processes and procedures

April 2015 Update
Owing to the uncertainty about its legal power to recognise awards within the Framework it is difficult for QQI to comment on the status of the current versions of these awards under the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012. Future policy developments in relation to the recognition of UK awards within the Framework will be communicated to the relevant awarding bodies and will be published on www.QQI.ie )
QQI continue to provide advice and information on how UK qualifications correspond with the Irish NFQ. Please see here.
